The DOL Wants Your Feedback

Want to have your say with the Department of Labor? Here’s your chance…

The DOL has issued a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) to amend the Family Medical Leave Act Regulations. The amendments are intended to to incorporate the changes mandated by the National Defense Authorization Act of 2008 (which allows for additional leave for families of active duty and injured/recovering military members), and to implement various other changes the DOL has identified.

Because they want to move quickly to implement these revisions so everyone will know their rights and responsibilities related to the new military leave changes, they anticipate the next step will be issuance of final regulations. But in the meantime they want your opinions on the proposed changes. So if you have something on your mind related to these proposed regulatory changes, speak up now!

They’ll accept comments until midnight on April 11, 2008.
