Things You Might Find Useful

Okay, confession time. I’ve been getting email updates from these folks (Progressive Business Audio Conferences) for ages, but I haven’t been paying much attention to them. (The Timekeeper hangs her head in shame.) For some reason, though, today the headline on their latest update caught my eye and I went out to visit their site.

And I was shocked. I had no idea they had so many conferences on so many different subjects! They have audio conferences covering just about any business related topic you could want — and plenty of them related to payroll processing, wage and hour and human resources issues. And all it takes to participate is a telephone.

They’re about $200 each, and each conference also includes handouts you can download from the web. If you opt for a live conference, you can potentially participate in a Q&A session, maybe get your question answered by the experts. You can listen via a speakerphone, so as many people as you want from your office can attend at no extra charge.

If the timing of the conference isn’t convenient for you, you can purchase the conference on CD or audio tape after the fact for the same price as a live conference. You won’t get to ask questions, but you do get the same handouts and you can listen over and over again whenever you like.

Here’s one upcoming conference that sounded interesting:

Employment Law 101 for Supervisors with Short Attention Spans
When: January 9, 2008, 1pm-2pm (Eastern)

And here’s a whole bunch of previous seminars you can get on CD or audiotape:

(Note: I don’t get anything from these people for recommending these conferences; they just sounded like a good resource to bring to your attention.)
