PeopleCube Acquired, Plans Expansion

Quick Take:

Waltham, Massacusetts-based PeopleCube has been acquired by two European private equity firms in a $17 million deal that will allow PeopleCube to expand its product line.

Currently, PeopleCube offers on-demand calendaring, resource and event management software. The recently announced acquisition will allow them to expand into the workflow management area by developing software applications to help customers coordinate the tasks done by various departments of their business. PeopleCube will also now be able to pursue new partnerships with additional companies, according to CEO John T. Anderson.

PeopleCube’s chief competitor is Forgent Networks, which recently acquired iEmployee and rebranded as Asure Software.
