ADP Upgrades Pay eXpert

ADP, one of the largest providers of HR, payroll, tax and benefits administration solutions for businesses, announced yesterday that they’re upgrading their Pay eXpert web-based payroll management product intended for businesses with between 50 and 999 employees.

The upgrade introduces two new features: job costing and on-site check printing.

Job costing allocates employee labor costs to specific projects by assigning each project a job cost number, and is used primarily in such fields as construction, professional services and some manufacturing operations.

On-site check printing allows employers the flexibility to print checks through the system “on the spot.” This can be useful where union rules or other regulations require hourly employees to be given their final paycheck immediately upon leaving their position.

According to ADP, since the service is web-based, users do not have to do anything to receive this upgrade. The new features will simply be available the next time the log in to their account.
